The house site is near the Ohau Sands entrance with a separate driveway that provides access for section one and section two. Section One is a large lifestyle block being 7.2293 hectares. 

Section One borders Lot 16 which is owned by Horowhenua District Council, a public walkway has been planned for Lot 16.

Section One had about 1000m² trees removed in 2014 and this area has been remediated with a native planting of Ake Ake, Totara, Harakeke, Ti Kouka and Akiraho, (see Section one planting details). Planted on a north facing slope the planting will establish quickly requiring minimal maintenance using the Up2iT planting system. The species chosen are native to the area and will enhance the birdlife in the area as well as juxtaposing the traditional amenity and pine trees surrounding the rest of the property.
